Napua's family spans seven generations, descending from the Koolau region of the island of Maui. Her grandparents operate a small family farm and fruit stand at the half-way point along the Road to Hana. Her grandma, 'Aunty Sandy' is famous for baking fresh banana bread for Hana Highway explorers since 1983. A tour along the Road to Hana with Napua can often turn into a family reunion as members of her extended family and friends can be found in the townships throughout the route.
